In this crazy World we live in, As we live life everyday, Things get a little hectic, As we hurry on our way.
With so much in life to do and say, So little time for all, It's a miracle I sometimes think, We do not crash and fall.
We have to load our dishwasher, Turn on our Microwave, Turn off the lights when we are done, Electricity to save.
We have to fill our gas tanks up, God forbid we'd have to walk, "Sorry, not now." we often say, "I haven't time to talk."
I haven't time to cook tonight, And so instead I'll wait, In my car for half an hour, For McD's to fill my plate.
Did you ever stop to wonder, How much we really need? In our haste to speed things up, We're slaves to technology. Poem © Glenda McGarity
